Straight-Edge/Hard-Core band MODERN GUILT just launches a new song - available now online !
From the band's words :
"We are excited to announce the one track digital release "Född För Att Dö." Originally written by Reconsider in 1996, later performed by Eyes Shut (1997-1999), one of Sweden's pioneering straight edge/youth crew hardcore bands. Marcus Lilje, aka Big Mac, the vocalist for both Reconsider and Eyes Shut (Manic Ride and Quarantine Rec/Fanzine), honors this release with a special guest vocal appearance.
"Född För Att Dö" addresses the still-relevant issue of animal rights. The lyrics "now it’s time to react against a crime that cannot be forgiven" resonate as strongly today as they did back then.
It is unacceptable that we continue to consume millions of lives each year and raise livestock only to suffer and die for our meals, especially when there are so many alternatives available.
The track features artwork in collaboration with comic book artist Mikael Hammarberg (Mean Mike). Check out his work: @gubbkvarten. Feat. Mikes artwork, we are launching a limited t-shirt where all profits to @djurensratt for their incredible work with animal rights and being a voice for the voiceless!"
Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, Modern Guilt are passionately channeling the raw energy of 80s hardcore. With a sound reminiscent of Uniform Choice, SSD and Youth of Today, Modern Guilt offers piece of mind for fans of hardcore and punk.

Born 1969, grew up with the NWOBHM sounds, musically educated with cult french magazines that were ENFER and METAL ATTACK, definitely nailed to the style when "The Number Of The Beast" by IRON MAIDEN was released... From 1982, it was clear life would never be the same ! Young & getting wild to the HEAVY sounds of SAXON, VENOM, BLACK SABBATH, MOTORHEAD, Young Fab also discovered thanks to school mates the NOISE, FILTH & FURY of Hard-Core/Punk bands like G.B.H, DISCHARGE, BROKEN BONES but also CRO-MAGS, BAD BRAINS, FUGAZI... and later on, through the 90's, everything that was ALTERNATIVE, EXPERIMENTAL, GRUNGE, INDUSTRIAL (SONIC YOUTH, NINE INCH NAILS, SOUDGARDEN, ALICE IN CHAINS)... Passion & curiosity grew up as years went by ... Fate was SEALED... no turning back ! No Music = No Life !
