FAUCHEUSE "Faucheuse" 2023

Had a bad day today ? Stress ? Headache ? Pain in your stomach ? Need a remedy that is not too despicable to swallow and quickly effective ? So try FAUCHEUSE, a new D-beat/Punk/Hardcore combo coming from Bordeaux/France... 5 tracks for a duration of 10 minutes that will throw you to the ground, intense, violent, catchy and addictive as f**k ! Of ourse, a BIG DISCHARGE/early-GBH influence (ok, they're still a bit of the godfathers of the style), it tumbles at full speed without looking back, without respite with a slightly more rock'n'roll approach for the guitar solos.
No downtime, the songs follow one another to hit you relentlessly with a formidable efficiency ! We feel the urgency of the thing, the musicians are not there to show off, they have to expel everything that is not right ! The song "Ville Interdite" stands out in my opinion a bit from the list, slower (everything is relative, ok ?) with a concern for rather unhealthy atmospheres with dissonant guitars, it is also the longest title of the cassette ... The texts are all in French with the particularity that it is a female singer (we can draw a parallel with BOMBARDEMENT from Bordeaux as well, a band in which we also find their drummer Luc... yes, actually, you can find that guy everywhere !!) which does not just scream, the vocal lines are quite varied, surly, aggressive but also know how to surprise with nice melodic lines ("Faucheuse")... This first production of FAUCHEUSE is a real nice surprise that can be recommended without any hesitation to all HardCore/D-Beat/Punk fans out there... and to listen to without any moderation !
