German punk rockers SICK OF SOCIETY break silence with a new video for the song "Fahne In Den Wind" !
Published: 05 November 2025

SICK OF SOCIETY are back with their new single "Fahne in den Wind" (translation: “Flag in the wind”) – an unmistakable, angry punk song that captures the powerlessness of the present in raw images and calls for defiant resistance.

"No future" – actually just a phrase for a long time – is frighteningly close to reality again today. War and conflicts, the acceleration of the climate crisis, the resurgence of nationalist and right-wing extremist movements, and the dismantling of social achievements paint a depressing picture. In the midst of this situation, many things seem hopeless: "Wenn die Welt im Meer versenkt, dann fang ich nicht an zu schwimmen“ (translation: "If the world sinks into the sea, then I won't start swimming,") the lyrics say.

Instead of resignation, SICK OF SOCIETY relies on defiance. The band remains uncomfortable, direct and uncompromising. And she turns the picture: the proverbial flag in the wind becomes a combative announcement - hard, passionate and unbridled. "Fahne in den Wind" is not a call to hope that excuses everything – it is a clear statement: Even if the outcome seems uncertain, they are sure that the idea will continue. "Auch wenn wir längst verloren sind, werden wir nicht untergehen“ (translation: "Even if we are long lost, we will not perish,") it says emphatically.

Musically, the band stays true to their line but also goes much stronger forward with this song: driving guitars, gaudy riffs and aggressive vocals. The song combines modern sound with classic German punk aesthetics and current political observations, making it both timeless and highly topical. In the end, the realization remains: "Es gibt kein Morgen, für dich und für mich. Es gibt kein Morgen, sie hatten verdammt recht.” (translation: "There is no tomorrow, for you and for me. There's no tomorrow, they were damn right.").
