This is official ! Swiss band COILGUNS will release their new album, "Everything We Love, We Destroy" on November 6, 2026, via Humus Records.
Written and produced by the band, this fifth album, “Everything We Love, We Destroy,” was recorded by Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Thrice, La Dispute, Neurosis) at Humus Lab (La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland), mixed by Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost), and mastered by Robin Schmidt (The Hives, Yungblud) - Additional production: Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe, The Armed).

About the single “Everything We Love, We Destroy”, the band comment:
"It's been more than a decade now that our countries have agreed on a deal they're not respecting. We wrote this paradoxical yet simple song to mark the tenth anniversary of the Paris Climate Accords. Why are we not able to act accordingly on our promises? Why are we always destroying what we love? How can 2026 be the actual future of 2016?
We imagined this song in two parts: the first one bouncing from sadness to anger like a pendulum, as if repeating things would prevent us from remaining idle. The second unfolds like a crepuscular coda for the wretched world that awaits us —a wide wasteland fed with new hopes and calling for remission.
We recorded the drums using two completely different rooms and kits: one with a very tight, in-your-face sound, the other in a large empty warehouse for a much wider, more diffuse atmosphere. That contrast follows the emotional arc of the song, with the drum sound itself shifting halfway through. It all starts with a single drum fill that gradually became the backbone of the entire arrangement. It never really steps into the spotlight, but if you pay attention, you can hear it evolve and quietly tie the whole song together".

"Nathan Jucker is Coilguns vocalist Louis Jucker's brother, but first and foremost a brilliant stop-motion artist. We'd been waiting for the right opportunity to work together, and Jessica Vaucher's handmade artwork felt like the perfect starting point to bring her embroidery to life —literally turning it into the red thread running through a short film.
We like to hold on to the optimistic, almost utopian idea that, faced with the destruction modernity seems determined to complete,a little red thread of love might still be enough to stitch the pieces back together. It's naïve, sure, but it helps us face reality without giving up. We hope it leaves people with a little hope and the energy to keep fighting."
About the new album “Everything We Love, We Destroy” (Out on November 6):
"This is Coilguns writing urgent music in urgent times. Facing the opaque, complex, and hard-to-grasp world that surrounds us, our riffs have never been that rough, and our lyrics have never been that clear. However, we're conscious that what sounds normal to us may seem fucked up to others. As usual, we didn't bother fixing our weirdness — why would we? Our oddity barely equals the absurdity of the world we hear about in the news. Everything we believed in seems optional, everything we thought was sound is questioned. So while writing this album, when confronted with choices, we always opted for the simplest way and the boldest moves. This is our way to heal from chaos, add clarity to the equation and loudly fight for calm.
Being on tour all year long, we didn't have time to waste, and the general context didn't seem to call for that. Our heads and our bodies were full of new energies and experiences, shared with the many human beings we met during the last couple of years on the road. We've learned so much recently, we couldn't wait. We wrote fast songs, and we recorded them quickly. This was made possible by two important factors: 1) we were all on the same page. We all knew where we wanted to bring this record, we didn't argue about anything —maybe because we didn't have the time, maybe because we didn't need to. 2) our headquarters studio was finally functional:an old warehouse in our hometown, packed with all the gear we've collected through 20 years of touring and trying things out. We only needed to pick things from the shelves, plug them in and crank them to the maximum. Everything was already in our hands. We got to integrate acoustic instruments,large and unusual rooms, and old, dusty gear. The whole thrift store.
We hired Scott Evans–Recording (La Dispute, Thrice, Neurosis), Tom Dalgety–Mix (Ghost, Tiger Cub, Pixies) and Robin Schmidt–Mastering (The Hives, Yungblud) — the exact same team that worked with us on Odd Love. We knew what we wanted, and we already trusted them to achieve it. They captured and translated with remarkable transparency and punch the urgency and rawness we were looking for in these performances.*Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe, The Armed)*** honored us by contributing additional production and overdubs, making sure we explored the full potential of every song.
This is the first album we wrote with a bass player involved from the very beginning of the songwriting process.Kevin Galland's thick sound and sharp ears allowed us to explore something we had never really dared before:a classic four-piece lineup. Sometimes it takes a long journey and countless detours to naturally come back to the simplest ideas.We're thankful for this new opportunity, and deeply honored and humbled by everything that's happening to us. We are a group of lucky humans sitting on a big pile of privileges. To grow older together and keep this band alive is all we ask for. We try our best to make it meaningful by turning it into an honest reflection of the world around us. We see a sad world losing hope, and we choose to respond with electricity and sweat. We want to keep sharing that energy, so that not everything we love gets destroyed".
Initially coming from the DIY hardcore scene, Coilguns have since then crafted their very own blend of punk and ecstatic noise-rock. They are known for their raw, uncompromising and euphoric live performances, proudly serving the dancing freaks and the crowd-surfing weirdos.The band history is deeply bound to the development of guitarist Jona Nido’s own label – Humus Records – that now gathers up to 170 releases from Swiss artists of all sonic horizons. Though most of their first albums were 100% self-produced, engineered and mixed by the band members, Coilguns drove in the summer of 2022 to end-of-the-world’s Oceansound Recordings in Norway with producer Scott Evans to track their fourth studio album, later mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Tom Dalgety. Released in November 2024, the album marked a turning point for the band and led to their most extensive touring cycle to date, with over 85 shows played worldwide in 2025.
Stoked by this unexpected exposure, the band couldn’t wait to write and record a fifth album, and managed to sneak it in between tours.
